My Philosophy

Everyone deserves to feel their best and it can be done with a food first approach focusing on a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole foods diet. This is not a quick fix or a bandage to mask symptoms but to really get to the root cause of the issue. There is also no “one size fits all” since we are all so biologically different. Nutritional Therapy centers on the support of our body as a whole. As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I will use a  holistic and bio-individual approach to nutrition and lifestyle in order to improve health and well-being by emphasizing foundational support that will meet you where you are.

The Foundations:

  • Digestion
  • Blood Sugar
  • Fatty Acids
  • Minerals
  • Hydration

You’re in the right place if you’ve heard again and again that your symptoms are “normal” and something you have to live with. I’m telling you,  you don’t!

Many symptoms are so common that they have become normalized, but that doesn’t mean they are normal.

Symptoms are like your body’s check engine light. They’re alerting something is off. Let’s listen up and take action!

The Foundations

Digestion

Digestion impacts every aspect of our health and there are many organs involved. Every cell in the body depends on the digestive system to provide the nutrients it needs for structure and function.

Blood Sugar

By eating a balanced, whole food diet with fats, proteins, and carbs, we can help control the blood sugar. This keeps us in a more stable range. The body’s systems cannot function properly when blood sugar handling is in dysfunction.

Fatty Acids

Fats are essential! Fats don’t only make our food taste good, they are the building blocks for cell membranes and hormones and are a long burning source of energy. We need fats to absorb vitamins A, D, E, and K.

Minerals

Minerals make up about 4% of our bodies and are vital for our health. We can not make minerals, so we must ingest them. Minerals are essential for every process that takes place in our body. Mineral deficiencies can cause many body systems to malfunction.

Hydration

The human body uses water in all of it’s cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain function of all of the major systems. Water must be ingested as our bodies are 60% water!

FAQ

What is Nutritional Therapy?

The art & science of supporting the body’s natural ability to heal with a holistic, food-first approach by balancing the foundations of health with special emphasis on bio-individuality and the body’s innate wisdom.

How is Nutritional Therapy different?

This is not a one size fits all method. The approach to help accomplish your health goals will be bio individual. Working to get to the root cause of what is going on in your body is the goal; it is not a band-aid to mask symptoms.

Why does it take 3 months or more?

These symptoms probably did not pop up overnight- there have been red flags for months or years and something has triggered you to feel what you are feeling and to seek out help. This cannot be resolved quickly… there will be no “magic pill” to make it better. We will work together to get you to feeling yourself again but it may take time.

What is not included in packages?

The cost of any nutritional supplements recommended to support you on your health journey.

Does insurance cover package costs?

It does not, but I do accept HSA funds! I will also be happy to work on a payment plan that best fits your budget. You only get one body to live in- let’s take care of it!!

What is an NTP?

A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is trained to evaluate the client’s nutritional needs and imbalances by taking a foundational approach that emphasizes a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole food diet, accompanied by a well-balanced lifestyle. An NTP acknowledges and honors the body’s wonderful capacity to be healed and restored through balance.
